These are, for the sake of space, paraphrased versions of the original arguments that I’ve seen floating around the internet, and some have been reworded to make them clearer. Included is my own commentary on why exactly each is racist, although most of them don’t need much explanation.

I talk…

I don’t like black Fiyeros. I know he was black in the book, but I something just doesn’t connect.

That awkward moment when someone misses one of the main points of Wicked - that judging someone or defining someone by skin colour is a shitty thing to do, and that skin colour doesn’t define what people can and can’t do.
Green skin is more acceptable than having black skin… I think it’s a new standard now, according to a few.

Is there a similar secret about the Black Elphabas? (yes, they DO exist, but you’d never know because she’s freaking GREEN in the show. Well, unless you read the program like I do)

“Something just doesn’t connect.” That’s called a lack of empathy. You might wanna have that checked out. Please…

Or they are just a racist fuck.

Yep. Definitely RACIST.

You know why it doesn’t connect (to you) OP? Because you’re a scummy racist.

Jack Thornell. James Meredith, wounded by a shotgun blast, sprawled on a highway near Hernando, Mississippi, June 6, 1966.
26-year-old Associated Press photographer Jack Thornell famously captured this Pulitzer Prize-winning image of James Meredith, the first African American to attend the University of Mississippi, after he was wounded by a sniper while leading a march to encourage African Americans to vote. When the attack happened, Thornell was sitting in his car waiting for a photographer from Life to bring him a Coke; he took two rolls of pictures of Meredith, but never put down his camera to offer his wounded subject help.

Thank you for this. Hip-Hop as a culture and rap as the music has evolved so much…and there are so many different subgroups amongst genre that it doesn’t just fit into one box like so many people try to place it in.
We may not like everything that is new, but there is good shit out there.

And there it is.

Heh.
